Install

Ur is one binary with nothing else to install. It needs no account, and it runs entirely on your machine.

Linux and macOS

curl -fsSL https://ur.dev/install.sh | sh -s -- --preview

The script downloads ur for your machine, checks it against the build’s checksums, and puts it in ~/.ur/bin. Ur has no release yet, so --preview installs the newest build of its main branch. Each merge is built for Linux only, so on macOS --preview installs the nightly build, made once a day.

• --nightly installs the nightly build on Linux too.
• --version TAG installs one build, such as v0.0.1.
• UR_INSTALL_DIR puts ur somewhere other than ~/.ur/bin.

Windows

In PowerShell:

irm https://ur.dev/install.ps1 | iex

The script installs the nightly build in ~\.ur\bin and adds that directory to your user PATH. Set UR_VERSION to install another build, and UR_INSTALL_DIR to put ur.exe somewhere else.

Updating

Run the same command again to replace ur with the newest build.
